Telectron Garage Door Opener Remote Control and Receiver Instructions for R204AD and T80G RF225
R204AD-T80G RF225 For NEW Applications ONLY T80G Installations Instructions This unit is designed for installation on an automobile sun visor or under the dashboard. Do not install on top of the dashboard as the sun may damage the unit. The transmitter may be operated outside or within the automobile and switch depressed only for a period of time necessary to start the door/gate. R204AD Installation Instructions This receiver is used to control two single button electric operators, which are in close proximity or one commercial operator that has open/close capability. The 9-position dipswitch can be set to match its companion transmitter. NOTE: If you are replacing a receiver or transmitter, be sure the dipswitch codes match. If you are going to use the R204 receiver for anything other than the Telectron garage door operator, note that both contacts are normally open dry contacts rated to 24V.
UNITS ARE SHIPPED TUNED TO RF225 BUT IS THE UNIT NEEDS TO BE RE-ALIGNED QUICK TUNING METHOD Open the transmitter cover. While at the distance you need operation, depress one of the buttons and turn the variable capacitor with a tuning wand very slightly until you get operation. Using a metallic instrument will cause the frequency to jump so you may have to compensate. TUNING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE R204AD/T80G
1. Connect a voltmeter to test points on the receiver. Do not attach the antenna. 2. Set voltmeter to 10 volts DC range. You will get around 7.5 volts DC without depressing either transmitter button. 3. Now depress either button on the transmitter and hold down. 4. With a tuning wand, turn variable capacitor on the transmitter ONLY, nor the receiver, for minimum voltage output on the voltmeter. NOTE: You should not use a metallic screwdriver since this will cause the frequency to jump upon release. WIRING R204AD TO A 3-BUTTON STATION
Connect the white and yellow wires to the common side of the 3-button station. Connect the blue wire to the open button of the 3-button station. Connect the red wire to the close button of the 3-button station.
TROUBLESHOOTING Should you begin to experience loss of range, replace the 9volt battery. If your unit should fail to operate at all, check that the "code settings" match your receiver.
